Every sailor sees milestones pass when they can't be with the ones they love the most. But that doesn't mean they can't have a special card for their birthday that acknowledges the mission they have committed themselves to fulfill. This card acknowledges their sacrifices as well as conveys that they are loved and missed. Parents, spouses can put this card into a care package or drop it in the post knowing they are sending a message their sailor will appreciate. Commands can proudly give this card to their sailors knowing they can show their appreciation to them without sacrificing decorum. Envelope(s) included.
Outside it simply wishes the recipient Happy Birthday and Inside it reads:
With birthdays come more than age
and as we chalk-up experiences,
we gain the memories of a lifetime.
We carry with us lessons learned,
reminisce on the memories,
and cherish the love we shared.
A sailor carries sunsets shared,
challenges overcome,
brothers and sisters forged in steel,
and the ever-present hope for
fair winds and following seas.
